Fire and Fire: compatibility from the Fire side

Two Fire Day Masters together are a bonfire: bright, loud, warm, visible from the next town over, and occasionally out of control. Fire is the element of expression, passion, charisma and spreading out. Byeong (丙) is the sun, big and generous; Jeong (丁) is the candle, focused and intimate. Put two of you in a room and the room becomes a party, a debate or a creative sprint, sometimes all three before midnight.

Fire and Fire are the same element, so each is a peer to the other.

BomTogether you make life feel like a festival. People come alive around the two of you.

Chemistry

You understand each other's need to be seen. Neither of you has to apologize for being enthusiastic, dramatic or emotional, because the other one is too. Another Fire is a peer: Friend (비견) if polarity matches, Rob Wealth (겁재) if it does not. Peers energize. You hype each other's ideas, show up to each other's shows and turn small wins into celebrations. Byeong with Jeong is the sun and a lamp, the big light and the close light, which can feel complementary: one brings the crowd, the other brings the conversation afterward.

Friction

Two flames compete for oxygen. You can both want the spotlight, both talk at once and both escalate when hurt. Byeong with Byeong is two suns in one sky, a lot of heat and very little shade. Jeong with Jeong is two candles in a small room, intimate but prone to smoky moods. Neither of you naturally brings Water, the calm, or Earth, the follow-through, so plans can blaze up and burn out, and arguments can go from zero to fireworks in one text.

In love

Romance between two Fire Day Masters is rarely boring. There is passion, laughter and a lot of shared adventure. The risk is burnout and rivalry. Agree on a cool-down ritual for conflict: a walk, a pause, a rule that nobody sends the long message after 11 p.m. Celebrate each other's wins without measuring them against your own.

As friends

As friends you are the group's entertainment department. Karaoke, road trips, birthday speeches: covered. Just check that quieter friends get a word in.

YeonTwo suns do not make a sky, they make a heat warning. Take turns being the one who listens.

How to make it work

Bring in Water and Earth on purpose. Water is rest, reflection and slower conversations. Earth is routines and practical projects that turn your heat into something lasting, like a shared home, a business or a tradition you keep every year. Let one of you be the audience sometimes. It is a gift, not a loss.

The Day Master pairs

Read from the Fire side, the four Day Master pairings here are Byeong with Byeong (Friend), Byeong with Jeong (Rob Wealth), Jeong with Byeong (Rob Wealth), and Jeong with Jeong (Friend), and each of those pairings links to its own compatibility page.

Is Fire and Fire a good saju match?

It is a peer match: lots of passion and mutual understanding, plus a risk of rivalry and burnout. Cooling routines make a big difference.

What is different about Byeong with Jeong?

Byeong is yang Fire, the sun, and Jeong is yin Fire, the candle. They are Rob Wealth to each other, a competitive but energizing peer bond. Same-stem pairs feel more like mirrors.
