It adds a fourth pillar, which shifts your element balance and strength count a little. Born between 11 pm and midnight? Saju schools disagree on which day that counts as. We follow the common Korean rule and count it as the next day when you give a time.

A full Korean saju reading uses four pillars (year, month, day and hour), eight characters in all. With your birth date alone we read three, which is how many Koreans read saju when the hour is unknown. Add your birth time and we read all four. We don't include the 10-year luck cycles (대운) that traditional readers use for timing, which also depend on a male or female setting we don't ask for.
